Inna Shvarts-Serebro is a Neuropedagogue with a diverse academic background. She holds a BSc in Chemistry Engineering from the Technion and a Ph.D. in Brain Sciences from Tel Aviv University’s Sagol School of Neuroscience. During her postdoctoral research in Prof. Ron Blonder’s Chemistry Education group at the Weizmann Institute of Science, she merged her expertise in Chemistry and Neurobiology with teaching experience, shaping a unique approach to develope neuropedagogical content knowledge among chemistry teachers.
Currently serving as the head of Bar-Ilan University’s Chemistry teachers' education, Inna pioneers the integration of neuropedagogical principles into the training. Her research elucidates the impact of neuropedagogical skills acquisition, in the pre-service stage, on the pedagogical decisions and retention of novice teachers.
Moreover, as a member of the Mendel Program for Academic Leadership in Teacher Education, Inna investigates the global issue of early teacher dropout. She endeavours to address this phenomenon by developing a neuropedagogy-based framework aimed at enhancing teacher retention and professional fulfillment.
